Rojo A. Ratsimandresy, PhD, Engineer

CO-FOUNDER & CEO

Rojo discovered biotech as intern at Amgen (Thousand Oaks) and brings 20 years of experience in immunology, biologics and peptide drug development. His career began at a French startup built on his PhD research on peptide-based active immunization against cytokines.

At Genentech, he co-led a program in lung fibrosis and inflammatory bowel disease from research to Phase 2 in about three years, accelerated by a $100M in-licensing deal.

At Voyra, he is focused on restoring tissue balance and resilience, starting in the lung.

Outside of work, you'll find him hiking, trying a new restaurant or in the weight room.

Gard Nelson, PhD

CO-FOUNDER & CTO

Gard brings 11+ years of experience applying physics and machine learning to drug design. Drawn to biochemistry with a background in physics and engineering, he has designed therapeutics across modalities and targets, with a particular focus on allosteric receptors.

At Voyra, he leads development of the company's AI-designed, physics-validated platform and the design of activity-modulating peptides.

Outside of work, you'll find him walking with his wife, taking his kids on adventures, skiing, trail running, or restoring his old Land Rover.
